I have always loved capturing moments; since having my son I appreciate even more how quickly they change and how fleeting they really are. This is why I love an excuse to capture some special memories of you and your little, or not so little one(s).

Hands up how many times you’ve tried to capture something with you and your child together, and the moment is over or blurry, or you’re pulling a funny face to get their attention, or they flatly refuse. This is the beauty of having a professional take them on your behalf. You get to enjoy the moment with them, the attention is on them and most importantly the whole family can be involved not missing out the “default” photographer.

I know my favourite photos are genuine moments; yes I might help finesse them so they are taken in the best light available but what is happening in that moment is not forced. Playing with a favourite toy, being read a story, cruising around a chair, popping bubbles, going on a dog walk, splashing in puddles or a mini adventure in the woods. Yes it can be nice to have that more traditional group photo, or studio photo with the perfect lighting setup. There’s just something extra special about capturing a moment and energy in a place that has meaning to you; whether that’s your house or out on your favourite walk or park. It allows you the freedom to literally move.
